This is is Doll Splinter. She has a painted face and a wooden body. She has moveable arms and legs. She was given to me many years ago by someone called Jenny.
She has many friends and if you read this blog you can follow her adventures. Her best friend is called Egg O and he is, as his name suggests, very full of himself.
I am a teacher and I started this blog intending to write only for very young children. In the first few stories I used simple and straightforward language but the more I wrote the more involved I became with the characters so now the stories are more detailed and suitable for children over seven.
I am also exploring my childhood through family photographs and memories of my toys in the 1950’s.
You can find these pieces on the Photograph Stories page. They are not meant for children.
I hope you enjoy them.
The Doll Splinter and Egg O stories don’t appear in the order in which they were written. The earliest stories are at the very end so if you want to follow them as they were written, then work backwards through older posts.
